About James

James Tait is a musician of some renown. A true Northumbrian, his father came from Barrowburn farm, which inspired Addie Harper's famous 'Barrowburn reel.'

James is a passionate composer, songwriter and dialect poet. Never committing to loving one genre over any other, James believes that a strong, memorable melody is the most important thing, and that great care must be taken into the production of anything worth recording. You will find clear evidence of these beliefs here on his recordings.

On his work, you will hear James's love of rural Northumberland, and of good old-fashioned songwriting in the rock/pop ilk.

James continues to write and record prolifically, so look out for imminent releases!
