- "I had the pleasure of meeting James in late summer of 2016 when taking over as manager at the Coquetvale Hotel, Rothbury. James has been offering his pianist skills at various hotel events, and after hearing him play, I had no hesitation in retaining his services for our weddings and many other notable occasions. From 2016 to the Spring of 2020, James was an integral part of our wedding package, playing to welcome the arrival of wedding guests before the wedding, playing at appropriate times during the service itself and then playing throughout the duration of the wedding breakfast. James became a part of our 'hotel wedding team' on the day, getting to know the bridal couples, and was often mentioned in their speeches or letter of thanks thereafter. James is a very accomplished musician who acts in a professional, courteous and patient manner at all times. He is always willing to listen to brides' requests for music and adapt, or indeed offer suggestions to those that needed a little guidance. Often playing for a six-hour period, James never wanes or loses interest, and always knows when to lift or drop the tempo to suit the mood. I would without hesitation, thoroughly recommend James Tait-" Alison Walklett.
- "We had James to play piano during our wedding breakfast. We were extremely pleased with his service; he is very professional, organised and listened to what we asked for. James played a range of songs and all of our guests really enjoyed listening to him play during the meal. It added a lovely atmosphere to the occasion. We would thoroughly recommend James!"- Becky Helen.
- James played for us at our wedding and he was fantastic. He is a wonderful musician and played our chosen hymns beautifully. Nothing was too much. James played some Geordie classics and even arranged a recording to be played as we signed the register. Cannot recommend James highly enough- Callum and Rachel Ryder.
