This second book of Northumbrian dialect poetry from James Tait celebrates his love of Coquetdale and observations of the natural world and characters therein, whilst occasionally stepping outside not subjects such as the Alnwick Shrove Tuesday football match and a visit to his old high school. One of James’s favourites is The Christmas Visitor, in which he relates the tale of a little bird flying into Alwinton Church and nestling in the Christmas tree, whilst Canon Bob read out his sermon on the fiftieth anniversary of his ordination!
